Handsome men.

As an elderly person, I think Cary Grant, Robert Mitchum, and Gregory Peck would be described as handsome, but can't get enthusiastic about any of today's " stars".
Brad Pitt does nothing for me, ditto Johnny Depp .
Thoughts?

I've never understood the appeal of Brad Pitt either, or Harrison Ford even in his heyday.

Johnny Depp, though...hmm, yes, definitely!

Badenkate Sun 25-Sep-16 17:33:37

Johnny Depp certainly does it for me wink - and George Clooney as well.

Johnny Depp? Yes pleaseblush.

Brad Pitt? No. Tom Hiddleston? No. Can't think of anyone else. There must be someone? Prince Harry? No. Harrison Ford? No.

I think Orlando Bloom is ok. Matt Damon is ok.

Having said that, I never "got" Marlon Brando or James Dean either.

George Clooney is, I think, the closest thing looks wise to Peck and Grant. So yes.

Badenkate Sun 25-Sep-16 17:35:23

I forgot Matt Damon. My sons say I'm very shallow grin

Johnny Depp is a thumbs up from me too. Likewise, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Mark Rylance, Aiden Turner, James Nesbitt ...

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sep-16 17:43:53

Err, me ?

TriciaF Sun 25-Sep-16 17:46:37

I used to like Johnny Depp but have gone off him since he seems to have gone the way of most 'stars' - marraige problems etc.
I like Monty Donn blush

I find handsome men a real put off. Give me a man with character in his face any day. Can't think of any in the public eye. Anyway the view we get of actors and celebrities is so managed and two dimensional, most of those handsome faces probably front really unattractive or boring personalities.

Christinefrance Sun 25-Sep-16 17:51:39

Rufus Sewell, I am really going to miss him now. Sean Bean as Sharpe oooooooh.

TriciaF Sun 25-Sep-16 18:00:59

One of our sons looks like Sean Bean - well, I think so.

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sep-16 18:05:38

Me ???????

Alima Sun 25-Sep-16 18:10:50

We just cannot say can we Wobble?
Of those mentioned so far I agree only with George, obs, and Cary Grant. Sad lack of eye candy out there.

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sep-16 18:12:34

You could lie - I won't mind smile

Rosieroe Sun 25-Sep-16 18:13:36

Can't understand the appeal of Johnny Depp - particularly after seeing him on a Graham Norton show all greasy and weird looking.

Monty Donn is just adorable.

I so loved Rock Hudson in all the movies with Doris Day when I was little - what a let-down that was. I just adore Howard Keel too. (I think perhaps I just wanted to be Doris Day.). Michael Buble has a cheeky charm as well as that amazing voice.

KatyK Sun 25-Sep-16 18:21:52

Johnny Depp yes (well a while ago). Elvis Presley in his early days.

pollyperkins Sun 25-Sep-16 18:28:22

Pierce Brosnan for me! Quite like Colin Firth and Hugh Grant Too. Cant stand George Clooney. Dont like stubble either which most of today's pin ups seems to have. Looks scruffy!

pollyperkins Sun 25-Sep-16 18:29:02

Yes I like Michael Buble too.

pollyperkins Sun 25-Sep-16 18:29:56

Post a pic Wobbly bits and we can decide!

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sep-16 18:30:57

Just lie grin

merlotgran Sun 25-Sep-16 18:35:53

Hugh Jackman, Aiden Turner, Rufus Sewell and of course, Monty Don.

Oh. I nearly forgot Philip Glennister.

Rosieroe Sun 25-Sep-16 18:36:04

Polly yes to Pierce Brosnan (my favourite Bond) and to Colin Firth in breeches and a wet shirt. Can't stand Hugh Grant.

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sep-16 18:39:41

Pic on my profile, I'm the one without the hat, Mrs P is behind me

Wobblybits Sun 25-Sep-16 18:40:18

I can do wet tee shirt smile
