Prompted by a very thoughtful gransnetter, this 'ere thread has been set up for members to wish each other a merry Christmas over the festive season - especially those who might be alone and fancy chatting with someone on the day (or any other day, really...).

So...we may as well begin with our best wishes from GNHQ - a very merry Christmas to one and all! We hope Father Christmas brings sufficient mince pies, Baileys, board games, turkey and presents to see you through!

Happy Hannukah! We missed Diwali It was in October.
It is no coincidence that these three Northern Hemisphere religions seem to have a festival of light about this time of year.

Today my GP said have a good Christmas as I was leaving, I replied "and you" then I said "Oh but you possibly don't celebrate Christmas just have a good holiday anyway. (He is Egyptian) and was amused by that. He is a lovely kind man.

Happy Christmas and all the other Festivals around now to you All.

This has been my first Xmas as a member of Gransnet. I have loved all the laughs, discussions, advice and comments throughout the year.

Life would be a lot duller without you all. wine

The picture chosen by HQ to head up this thread is very stereotypical.

We are all little old ladies with our pussy-cats, aren't we? Of course!

hmm
