We bought our offspring a box of chocolates each for Easter, but haven't as yet seen DS. Today I sneaked a few chocolates from the box and secretly ate them unknown by DH blush Now not sure whether to own up or finish them without saying anything!

Finish them.

Enjoy. grin

pompa Sat 18-Apr-15 18:36:43

Go for it, destroy the evidence. smile

I have searched son's bedroom for any left behind choccie.

Zilch! hmm

Just grabbed another -strawberry temptation. Put the box back on top shelf of bookcase with tape on one side in tack.

vampirequeen Sat 18-Apr-15 18:44:23

Eat them and hide the evidence.

kittylester Sat 18-Apr-15 18:45:31

Eat them and buy another box - BUT, do not eat that one!! grin

DS had a box of chocs a girlfriend had given him. He didn't eat them for ages for sentimental reasons hmm. In the end I opened them carefully, scoffed the lot, carefully closed the box up again, and he kept the empty box for ages without knowing the difference. shock

whitewave Sat 18-Apr-15 18:50:34

That is sooooo good grin

I am biding my time, we have an unopened box of chocs, but if I suggest eating them I will be in trouble. Won't be long before Mrs.P remembers them.

whitewave Sat 18-Apr-15 18:54:46

Do what I and jing did pomp

pompa Sat 18-Apr-15 18:56:49

Ah, but bide my time and I will get half a box.

whitewave Sat 18-Apr-15 18:58:00

If you don't you will get it all! Plus that delicious feeling of guilt.

AshTree Sat 18-Apr-15 19:12:10

Go on, finish the box. Then throw it away and, once the binmen have been, ask your DH all innocently 'can you remember where we put that box of chocolates we bought for DS?' grin

Ana Sat 18-Apr-15 19:19:45

Why do you feel you have to hide what you've done from your DH? You could always let him have some...confused

pompa Sat 18-Apr-15 20:12:09

grin new she would break !

pompa Sat 18-Apr-15 20:14:47

Knew

rosesarered Sat 18-Apr-15 20:41:15

You may as well eat them all, Whitewave, as you can hardly give them as a present now!

NanKate Sat 18-Apr-15 20:47:30

I have a bar of chocolate hidden in a drawer in the bedroom and if I feel in urgent need of chocs I eat them surruptiously. I wonder sometimes if MrNK can smell it on my breath. grin

glammanana Sat 18-Apr-15 20:55:41

Reading this reminds me that my neighbour gave me 4 x Easter Eggs for my DGCs and they are still under the shelf in the hall cupboard wink

Ana Sat 18-Apr-15 21:01:19

But why are you all so secretive about your chocolate-eating habits? I honestly don't understand - you're not children. What would your respective DHs say or do? Very confused!

Jomarie Sat 18-Apr-15 21:10:52

Love Ash Tree's advice!

rosesarered Sat 18-Apr-15 21:15:32

Ana, I don't know about anyone else's DH but Mr Rosesarered would scoff it all before I had even had one or two chocs from the box.If we are given a box of Maltesers he scoops a fistful of the things at a time. Sometimes we just HAVE to keep chocs a secret!

vampirequeen Sat 18-Apr-15 22:29:00

DH wouldn't say anything but I was made to feel guilty anytime I ate anything nice like chocolate so I started to eat it in secret and the habit has stuck. The guilt is still there too.

AshTree Sat 18-Apr-15 22:54:15

Ana the reason we keep this sort of behaviour from our DHs is because if nobody sees you eating chocolate, the calories don't count.
