Grannyonce welcome to GN. I now have two grandsons one 2ys 8mnths the other just four weeks.

I sneaked onto GN when DD first announced she was pregnant. I felt I was cheating a bit until DGS was born and then realised that no one would have minded. Enjoy yourself it is addictive.

welcome Grannyonce - enjoy the sometimes heated but mostly interesting threads
avoid politics and in the news forums though and stick to non-contentious issues and you will be fine.
the book recommendations are very useful.

Hello grannyonce, and welcome to GN. And yes, be warned, it is very addictive. I gave up smoking many years ago and that was tough, but I think this would be more of a struggle grin

rosequartz Sun 24-May-15 19:42:35

Grannyonce - ignore all advice about what boards to engage with. Join in discussions that interest you personally I would advise politics and in the news

pompa Sun 24-May-15 20:32:43

AND most important of all, ignore GrannyTwice. grin
(and never believe anything I say)
