I'm not the looker I once was, but I've still got it ( I think? ) grin

rosequartz Tue 13-Oct-15 19:22:13

I never was so it doesn't worry me grin

bee63 Tue 13-Oct-15 19:25:14

grin

tanith Tue 13-Oct-15 19:25:53

Yes but I'm not sure anyone else does apart from OH..grin

Indinana Tue 13-Oct-15 19:32:47

I do when I look in the mirror first thing in the morning, before I've put my glasses on grin

lefthanded Tue 13-Oct-15 19:38:19

Of course you are. Every one of you. Never doubt it.

downtoearth Tue 13-Oct-15 19:38:28

I never had it to start with but feel that have improved with age ..although maybe my eyesight which has always been poor improves my appearance .......to me grin

Ana Tue 13-Oct-15 19:40:37

Attractiveness isn't just about looks though, is it? A lot of attractive people aren't necessarily 'good looking'. I'm sure we're all attractive in our own way! smile

Very true Ana smile

bookdreamer Tue 13-Oct-15 20:20:56

No definitely not.

Judthepud2 Tue 13-Oct-15 20:31:33

No! Not at all! But then I was never a 'looker' anyway. 5 years of hormone therapy finished the job but like DTE I find things improve when I remove my glasses grin

ginny Tue 13-Oct-15 20:32:32

If I could carry my bathroom mirror around with me I would be. Other mirrors don't seem to work as well. grin

Ana Tue 13-Oct-15 20:35:28

If I didn't have to use a x10 hand mirror to do my eye makeup I could perhaps kid myself I don't have quite so many wrinkles - those magnifying mirrors are the work of the devil! grin

sweetpea55 Tue 13-Oct-15 20:41:29

I agree with ana. Being attractive doesn't make you a nice person it's what inside .your whole personality .Someof the most loveliest people are not nnecessarily the most attractive.

posie Tue 13-Oct-15 20:53:19

ginny I agree with you about the mirror. My mirrors at home are more friendly than any others for some reason. confused

Before I leave home I check myself in the mirror & think I don't look too bad but if I catch sight of myself unexpectedly in a mirror/shop window while out & about I'm shocked too see on older, more unattractive lady. shock

annodomini Tue 13-Oct-15 21:51:32

I'm OK until I put my glasses on and then I see my granny.

NotTooOld Tue 13-Oct-15 21:52:19

Yes - but only to DH, bless him. I hate catching sight of myself in a mirror in a shop. In changing rooms I try not to look in the mirrors, which is quite difficult and also does not tell me if I should buy whatever it is I am trying on. I also hate sitting in front of the mirror at the hairdressers with all those attractive young hairdressers behind me.

Luckygirl Tue 13-Oct-15 22:02:53

OH definitely thinks so! I'm not bothered what anyone else thinks.

Grannyknot Tue 13-Oct-15 22:18:37

The heading made me laugh out loud. I never think about it.

grumppa Tue 13-Oct-15 22:37:51

Of course I do. The trouble is, I'm in a minority of one.

X

Nelliemoser Tue 13-Oct-15 23:14:40

rosequartz I always feel like that as well.

rosequartz Tue 13-Oct-15 23:42:44

Although I wouldn't mind a few tweaks grin
(too cowardly)

No, I`m not, but then I never have been. The night I met my hubby I was at a dance with 3 girls from work. When one found out the day after that I`d got a date that night, she said "why on earth would he want to go out with you?", but then she was extremely pretty.

Falconbird Wed 14-Oct-15 05:58:21

I never thought of myself as really attractive when I was young. Now when I look at old photos I can see that I was.

I flinch at photos taken now that I'm pushing 70. Will I look back at them in five/ten years time and think (not bad for her age?)

Lona Wed 14-Oct-15 06:33:38

I'm not bothered anymore, I used to be a 'glamorous granny' but now I look like a 'nana', and my dgc love me, that's what matters.
