Today I'm almost bursting with happiness ... at the advanced age of 57 I actually passed my driving test this morning!

I tried at almost 40, failed my first test and gave up, so this time I came home from the 2 failed tests and re-booked right away, plus used a cancellation service to get quick re-tests. Mostly I'm ecstatic not to have to hear the Pink Panther theme tune (indicating texts from them) on my phone! grin

Just proves that nothing is impossible! smile

Well done, I thought I would never get it right (think I still don't and am so glad that there was no parallel parking when I took my test).

Very well done indeed. To my mind it was the most difficult thing I ever did. The freedom it gives you is unparalleled though.

TerriBull Wed 04-May-16 16:10:12

Great for you, it's never too late. When I passed my test, mid twenties, couldn't afford the driving lessons before then, I found driving off by myself for the first time a truly liberating experience. I wish you lots and lots of carefree driving. As the weather is gorgeous at the moment, get the windows down and feel the wind in your hair. Congratulations smile
