The one that springs to mind is when someone? Nancy took someone's ice cream out of the fridge and it started to defrost! That was a bad moment but usually the show is full of happy times!

Icecreamgate springs immediately to mind - mostly Iain's reaction that shocked us most.

angiehoggett Thu 25-Aug-16 07:21:07

The finals are always the highlight for me, I love the amazing creations they come up with!

pinkboots100 Thu 25-Aug-16 07:54:31

Apologies as it has nothing to do with the baking but the first memorable moment that came to mind was the squirrel!!!!

LullyDully Thu 25-Aug-16 07:58:07

I loved the intricate matchbox and matches. How did she do it ? Style over substance, who cares? Such beautiful decoration.

Piggypoo Thu 25-Aug-16 08:14:46

The memorable winner of 2012's GBBO, John Whaite, with his recipe of Sausage and roast vegetable pithivier! That's one to get the mouth around! smile

Scungybear Thu 25-Aug-16 08:33:50

It has to be Bin-Gate - although I loved the whole series!

Worlass Thu 25-Aug-16 09:20:00

Afraid I'll have to be boring and go along with the ice cream incident.

shysal Thu 25-Aug-16 09:58:39

The first thing that came to my mind was Nadiya's peacock show stopper.

hdh74 Thu 25-Aug-16 10:57:32

My most memorable momment was ice-cream gate. The entrant I remember most is actually Holly Bell, I'm a fan of her 'Recipes from a normal mum' recipe books and blog so she has really stayed in my mind.

Fingerspeller Thu 25-Aug-16 11:02:58

Nadiya's expressive face!

mogsey5 Thu 25-Aug-16 11:09:29

Most memorable for me was Mary Berry's expression when Iain Watters stormed out of the GBBO tent over the collapsing Baked Alaska incident

GeorgeW Thu 25-Aug-16 11:25:58

Before the Baked Alaska incident there was custardgate! It seemed so unfair but Howard took it all in his stride. I can't remember who accidentally nicked his custard out of the shared fridge but I know his was so much better than the one he had to use!

stefalfie11 Thu 25-Aug-16 11:38:17

The first thing that comes to mind was Nadiya's show stoppper of the peacock, it was amazing!

jacqroberts Thu 25-Aug-16 11:42:01

When Mel knocked over that biscuit tower argghhh! I think she won anyway luckily for mel

BlueNile57 Thu 25-Aug-16 11:42:45

Bingate, nicked custard I remember all those but Paul Jagger's King of the Jungle loaf was a stand out moment for me. I was full of admiration for the design and his dexterity, I can only wish I could do something a quarter as good. Even Paul Hollywood liked it!

MSHGW Thu 25-Aug-16 11:49:52

My most memorable moment is when John from series 3 put salt in his rum babas instead of sugar! Ooops. Still, he then went on to win!

Mumsy Thu 25-Aug-16 11:57:26

cant pick out just one memorable moment the whole series is and has been memorable

becskiboo Thu 25-Aug-16 11:58:36

It has to be bingate! I had my own bin gate moment with a pavlova later in the same year and it's now a standing joke that whenever a pavlova is made the first one will always end up in the bin!

alsproject Thu 25-Aug-16 12:43:45

Who could ever forget bingate!!!

jamielmdjs Thu 25-Aug-16 13:21:13

Alvin's bread OVERLOAD last season.

avery64 Thu 25-Aug-16 13:46:33

For me Nadiya and her creations have been the most memorable.Such a talent and not only in cooking as last night's Chronicles of Nadiya showed. She is an inspiration to us all smile

nutunit Thu 25-Aug-16 14:55:58

The finals are always the highlight for me.

jodiecrossley1 Thu 25-Aug-16 15:26:56

icecream gate!
