I am not cook/baker, however I will be attempting to make an eggless/nut free/coconut free chocolate cake to celebrate my 70th with my two grandsons, one of which who has lots of allergies.

Does any have an EASY eggless chocolate cake recipe I could use, so that little Leo isn't left out when we cut the cake ?

Thanks.

Grannynot using Mayonaisse instead is useless it's made of egg.

Have a look at this replacement for eggs
My DD uses flax seeds, she uses gluten free flours too as she has many intolerances.

Thanks Granjura that recipe is exactly what I want.

Also thanks to Hilda will check out the egg replacement website.

I hope DGS will grow out of his allergies but as he is only 3 we may have a while to go.

You are welcome.

Sadly grandson in now 10 and the specialists think he won't grow out of this terrible egg allergy now- he should have done by the age of 7. Such a worry as he will be going on to secondary school next year- and will have to be in a mcuh less protected environment and have to carry his epipen and antihistamines himself all the time and have to make a decision as to calling help or not. A worrying time- especially as so many people now do not take real life-threatening allergies seriously, as so many say they are 'allergic' to this, that and the other sad
