Now there's a man of genius. It's the combination of persistence, technological creative thinking and challenging shame and prejudice.

seasider Tue 04-Mar-14 07:30:32

That man deserves to be recognised for his persistence.

I've read about this amazing man before.

Completely brilliant.

A truly uplifting read with my early morning mug of coffee.

What impressive values he has. A heart-warming story to start the day. Thanks, bags.

What a wonderful man. Such determination in the face of fear and suspicion. It's sad that there is still such ignorance about this natural function.

A beautiful human being. The butterfly and mosquito analogy and working heart to heart. Thanks bags.

I'm saddened by the realisation that school attendance rates were affected so much by something so basic. Women here also used to use rags - but sent them to the village washerwomen to boil and clean and send back. Some used grass/hay, I suppose it isn't as available in India!

Charleygirl Tue 04-Mar-14 14:39:52

I remember an aunt of mine in Eire used clean rags. I do not know what her daughters who are younger than me used.

JessM Tue 04-Mar-14 17:49:41

Yes now that's more like a "hero" smile

Deedaa Tue 04-Mar-14 22:04:40

What a fantastic story. At last someone invents something that people actually need and which changes their lives. (Dragon's Den take note).

Wonderful!
