Last year, many of us hoped that Malala Yousafzai would win, and were disappointed when she didn't. But this year, she HAS WON IT, sharing with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights activist. Best news I've heard for some time!

Yes, me too Anno. It is good news and am pleased to see it shared with Kailash Satyarthi for his work in abolishing child slave labour in India.

Agreed. This is good news. Let's hope it gets through to those to whom it needs to get through.

I was very pleased when I heard this.

We have discussed Malala on GN before and she has simply flowered before our eyes.

I also thought how this country had 'done itself proud' from start to finish in how Malala
has been allowed to flourish under the care of the British people.

Well done Malala and Kailash.

POGS; I can only agree with you on your thoughts about how Britain has supported her. Yes; two truly deserving winners this year. A ray of hope for humanity.

Agreed. I have posted on here before about Malala. She opened the new library here in Birmingham and gave a lovely stirring speech, even throwing in a bit of 'Brummie' at the end. smile

I've just bought her book to read on holiday.
