This headline is on the front page of The Times today. I for one am fed up with being made to feel that I am a scrounger and a burden on the state. I have paid my taxes and my NI and am now drawing what the state says I am entitled to. The article also states that policy-makers should recognise that 'pensioners as a group have stopped being poor'. In my opinion no retired person should ever be on the poverty line - we have paid our dues. And don't even get me started on being called an OAP - I expected better from The Times. Rant over - I could rant on but I feel my blood pressure rising
