It's probably in the news only in NZ and I don't usually have time for much to do with sport, but I really loved this. Record holder (400 not out versus England) Brian Lara is currently in NZ for a golf tournament and received letters from schoolchildren in Otago –strangely they were mostly about gold mining rather than cricket. He went to visit them and spent quite a lot of time with them doing warming-up and playing. The real joy is that eight-year-old Sophie Rasmussan bowled out Brian Lara. I always thought he was a nice man and she will be thrilled by this for the rest of her life.
Parents-in-Law. What do/did you call them?
