March in Leicester

We are having a meet up IN Leicester on 24th March at 12.30 in Carluccio's (opposite John Lewis and next to a multi storey car park). All are welcome especially new members and be nice to see some of our male members (oops - you know what I mean) you don't have to be from Leicestershire. We had a lovely time last year and some people took the opportunity to visit the excellent Richard the Third exhibition and tomb which is a bout 5 minutes walk away. Carluccios is very good at adapting their menu and they serve gluten free pasta on request. please can you let me know by pm if you are coming and I can book the table. See you there.

Oh, that might be doable. It's not the getting to Leicester that's a problem, it's finding the actual meet up place, I'm sort of geographically challenged blush

anya I can arrange to find you but anyway Carluccios is in the main shopping centre Highcross. Will you be coming by car/train/bus/helicopter/private jet?

Trains not an option - too many changes. Will have to drive I think, up,the M69. Never been to Leicester in my life confused is it a big / busy place?

Alea You and I seem to share the same sort of mind when it comes to misinterpreting thread titles. That is twice in a week.

I looked at it to see what sort of protests were going on in Leicester.

Leicester is a small city really and the car park for John Lewis in on a ring road but there are park and rides which might be a better option.

Hello just joined I'm in Nuneaton but travel to Coventry or Leicester no problem.
How do I find out about meetups in this area? Haven't sussed out how to navigate the site yet.....confused

Hi Teetime have been on Local GN Warwickshire and last msg was way back in 2013 so I'm going over to the West Midlands wish me luck grin
