I come and go on Gransnet and have just returned after a break to find some really interesting topics. durhamjen is so up there with all the facts and must do such a lot of reading. She knows just how to put her finger on relevant information which is very useful to us all on here. She's evidently a driven woman - ideal for the above post. whitewave would make an admirable deputy.

hmm

merlotgran Wed 06-Apr-16 11:16:48

I thought the OP was about medication for PMT.

merlotgran Wed 06-Apr-16 11:17:46

Thread title, I mean

nigglynellie Wed 06-Apr-16 11:32:56

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I can't understand that dj isn't at least an MP - seriously!

Nonnie Wed 06-Apr-16 11:34:38

Tempted but I won't grin

whitewave Wed 06-Apr-16 11:37:17

I absolutely promise that my tax affairs are in apple pie order!

harrigran Wed 06-Apr-16 11:43:04

shock

Elegran Wed 06-Apr-16 11:44:23

There's a thought, nigglynellie Perhaps she is an MP (I wonder which party grin ) and is posting here in disguise? Perhaps gangy5 is her press agent?

obieone Wed 06-Apr-16 11:53:22

gangy5, she gets information constantly sent to her.

kittylester Wed 06-Apr-16 11:59:23

Despite the forcefulness of her arguments, not everyone would vote for her. confused

nigglynellie Wed 06-Apr-16 12:00:32

Oh lord Elegran, there is a thought indeed!!! I'm sure they are whitewave! No need to say, after all, which one of us would think differently?! Mind you paying or being paid ' in cash', is encouraging tax avoidance. Not that I'm saying that anyone on here would be so dishonest?!!

Jalima Wed 06-Apr-16 12:55:29

I had a very nice pie chart showing exactly how my miniscule amount of tax is spent.

Jalima Wed 06-Apr-16 12:56:25

Well, if she was she wouldn't have time to go on Gransnet

Anniebach Wed 06-Apr-16 14:01:45

If she wouldn't have time to post on here then no. I need her links . If she was PM we would have a female, honest, compassionate PM who wouldn't fleece the vulnerable

granjura Wed 06-Apr-16 14:04:56

hear hear

wot Wed 06-Apr-16 14:38:29

I'll second that!

Ana Wed 06-Apr-16 14:40:20

Better get the name right on the ballot papers! grin

nigglynellie Wed 06-Apr-16 14:43:27

I think making promises in opposition is the easy bit, we can all do that! Actually putting things into practice in the real world is very much more difficult as the liberals learned to their cost over tuition fees!! Don't make promises unless you are certain your bluff will never be called!!!

whitewave Wed 06-Apr-16 14:46:17

Like tackling tax evasion/avoiders

phoenix Wed 06-Apr-16 14:49:08

This IS a joke, right?

Stansgran Wed 06-Apr-16 14:57:10

They've got the date wrong April 1 was so last week

Anniebach Wed 06-Apr-16 15:00:11

Think it's the government which needs that advice nigglenellie

nigglynellie Wed 06-Apr-16 15:33:59

I think all governments do!!

rosesarered Wed 06-Apr-16 15:39:42

Even Djen would not want the poisoned chalice of PM dom, but must admit I did think 'this is a joke' for a thread.
