What do people think?

He's almost certain to win the election, so is he a good choice? Will he make a difference?

I like him and I am sure he will make a good mayor,

Some sanity at last. Excellent choice.

He promises bus passes at 60 so that might help the silver vote!

I live close to his constituency, he is well liked there. I also like Ivan Lewis, one of the other candidates. I saw Andy speak at several of the last Labour leadership hustings. He was, I thought, over confident that he'd win the leadership.

He's definitely a northern MP and he understands the challenges facing the Labour party from Ukip, he understands how alienated most people in the north west feel from London and the south east. He gets that the region has been neglected, our industries no longer provide employment etc. I hope he lives up to his promise.
