But alcohol gel with added sunscreen smacks of desperation in the marketing department brainstorming session.

I carry a small sanitizer from Boots in my handbag for use when I'm on a train as the washing facilities can leave a lot to be desired. I wouldn't spend £22 on one! It's a gimick I think. Companies are making a mint from our obsession with hygiene. Soap and water works well generally speaking.
