so sleep well. It seems we have all survived the 5th 'End of the World' since the 50s - hurrah and night night.

You'd think they might have noticed a pattern emerging by now.

Still got 1 1/2 hours to go here. Hopefully we will be saying good morning.

According to Isaac Asimov, "an Assyrian clay tablet dating to approximately 2800 BC was unearthed bearing the words "Our earth is degenerate in these latter days. There are signs that the world is speedily coming to an end. Bribery and corruption are common."

A certain type of pious misery-guts actively looks forward to 'the end of the world'... anything rather than get on with making the most of the world we have!

You're so right, feetlebaum! grin

How on earth did they publish the Daily Mail on clay tablets, feetlebaum? Just think of the load those poor Assyrian paper clay boys had to carry round the mud huts houses in 2800 BC shock

The timing of the end of the world is not known by any person.
They frighten people unnecessarily.

Doesn't sound as though anyone here was frightened smile
