What's your favourite perfume?

Happy by Clinique, and a very cheap one Sunflowers Elizabeth Arden.

Joy by Jean Patou, Oscar by Oscar de la Renta, and Alliage by Estee Lauder.

I have worn Elizabeth Arden Blue Grass since I was a teenager. I have never found another that I like, but of course I don't smell it on me any more.
I often ask what someone is wearing and try it, but on me everything seems too heavy. Any suggestions of a perfume that smells like fresh washing?

I rather like after shave, which I started to use after a French student that stayed with us gave me a trial phial of Tenere by Paco Rabanne [I understand they don't make it now]. When I was newly divorced I used to wear a perfume by Barefoot Doctor called Chi Qui which was said to make you irresistable to men [it seemed to work at the time, but I had a few hormones left then so wouldn't bother with it now]. Remember wearing an orange smelling perfume when I was a teenager [does anyone remember what it was called; was in a brown bottle], and my mum used to wear Californian Poppy. Aha; Happy by Clinique..may check that out as I'm sure I asked someone what they were wearing once and that was the reply.

I remember going shopping with my Dad and bought my Mum 4711.

glassortwo - gosh I'd forgotten about 4711 but strangely a few weeks ago I found some sachets for refreshing oneself in an old handbag and they were 4711 - green and gold packaging - and my mother loved 4711 too.

Y by Yves St Laurent. Only available now on the internet but is still my favourite. My second favourite is Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. When I was younger I wore Paris and it became my signature fragrance with people at work saying they always knew where to find me

Shysal...try Amazing Grace (Phylosophy)....I have the shower and body creme and it is so clean and fresh smelling.
I love Calvin Klien Euphoria and Elizabeth Arden Red Door.
A couple of M&S perfumes are nice too ...but don't last.
My mother always wore Tweed when I was a child.
I HATE Chanel No 5 and Giorgio Romano Beverly Hills ( that makes me feel physically sick)

I'm wearing Noa at the moment as I love the way it smells but it doesn't last long.

Ma Griffe by Carven.I've never seen it for years but I never wear perfume now anyway.
I bought a bottle of Ma Griffe on the day I found out I was pregnant with my first child back in 1969.I t always brought back happy memories when I wore it and I loved the smell of course!.

I have some sort of weird metabolism that does funny things to scent. I remember being given the rather luxurious present of a Nina Riche perfume as a teenager which I sprayed liberally all over before going to a party. The whole evening was ruined for everyone there, going sniff, sniff, "What is that smell of rotting Brussels sprouts. I stick to the one that works for me, however old-fashioned – Chanel No 5.

Channel 5 does it for me, assuming it's a lady wearing of of course.

My Mother in Law came into hospital when I had my 1st born with a gift of Tweed perfume, we had a rocky past and I think this was a peace offering but I could not stand the smell of it on me.

If Aqua Manda was 'brown' was Kiku 'yellow' and in a round container..or is my memory playing tricks on me?

I used to like Chanel no 5 - my sailor husband used to bring me it. I also loved any kind of apple blossom products. Alas, this is all just memories now: I lost my sense of smell at age 42. I had tests to find out why, including a brain scan, but no reason was ever found.

Does anyone remember wearing Tramp in the early 1970s?
