Some one please sack Rosie's stylist !

Beautiful face, fantastic voice but that dress.....shock poor girl

merlotgran Thu 30-May-13 20:37:03

She's a big girl and it made her look a whole lot bigger. Great voice though.

Forzanonna Thu 30-May-13 20:37:28

I agree - such a lovely looking girl - and what a voice. Here we are agreeing with Simon Cowell!! Was just about to put a post about BGT when I saw yours. Hate to admit I'm watching it - but I am - and enjoying it blush

Charleygirl Thu 30-May-13 21:50:12

I agree, that dress, leggings and horrendous shoes. She can definitely sing. She looks older than 19 years of age.

merlotgran Thu 30-May-13 22:19:25

I think this series is dire. Britain doesn't seem to have any real talent at all.

I can`t believe that Rosie wasn`t even in the top three! I said as soon as she came on that there had been a serious error regarding her clothes.

HappyNanna Fri 31-May-13 09:02:51

I also thought Rosie looked older than 19 - lovely voice shame about the dress! How many kids acts is that now in the final, 4? Maybe there should be a Junior BGT. Felt sorry for Joseph (the dancer) up against the kids for a place in the final. Thought Simon Cowell bottled it. Joseph was a class act in my opinion.

glammanana Fri 31-May-13 09:09:22

I'm really bored with this now far too much for one week.

Charleygirl Fri 31-May-13 11:58:49

I agree with HappyNanna. Joseph was a class act but hopefully he was seen by somebody who can help his career. The kids were cute but they do not have a future ahead of them in my opinion.

I totally agree that there should be a junior BGT as there are too many kids in the final and possibly more to come.

That is the second time this week that Simon has bottled it. I have forgotten the last but again he left it to the public vote.

Joseph and Rosie were final acts, but I did like the 4 who got though. Their name escapes me.

ninathenana Fri 31-May-13 13:30:26

I didn't actually bother with the results show.

Charleygirl Fri 31-May-13 15:34:47

I record the results and for me it is over and done with in less than 10 minutes!

HappyNanna Sat 01-Jun-13 09:43:34

Another child singer through to the final. There's going to be a lot of tears as there can only be one winner. Thought the magician was good though I think I know how he did it. Didn't think Francine was that good, I couldn't tell what she was saying most of the time so I didn't know who she was supposed to be impersonating.

Charleygirl Sat 01-Jun-13 15:36:34

HappyNanna- I agree with every word that you have said with the exception of not knowing how the trick was done! I thought that it was only me who could not not understand what Francine said.

Although all of the children were good, there are far too many in the final. I feel that a few of the adults' careers may have been ruined because they have not been given the extra chance of performing in the final.

The frequent adverts were also driving me crazy. I drink a lot of coffee but not a cup every 10 minutes!

I may record the Final and fast forward.

merlotgran Sat 01-Jun-13 17:04:13

When is the dratted final? I thought it was tonight but apparently it's another semi. How many semis make a final. Didn't it used to be two in the good old days when things added up?

Charleygirl Sat 01-Jun-13 17:31:04

I think that it is next Saturday but I am not 100% sure.

merlotgran Sat 01-Jun-13 22:28:24

Surely Attraction must win the final.

HappyNanna Sat 01-Jun-13 23:05:37

Yes. The final is next Saturday. Thought Attraction were brilliant.

Forzanonna Sun 02-Jun-13 12:00:22

I think they should take the singers out of it altogether - there are plenty of "talent shows" for singers. Lets see something else for a change - also too many children - oops grumpy old woman syndrome blush

harrigran Sun 02-Jun-13 12:28:54

Attraction was definitely the best act in BGT, very entertaining.

soop Sun 02-Jun-13 12:34:19

YES! Attraction...full marks flowers

whenim64 Sun 02-Jun-13 12:53:15

Attraction for me, too. Memorable!

HappyNanna Sun 02-Jun-13 14:22:52

Charleygirl This is how I think the trick was done. You can check the video of it again on Youtube. When the girl lights the poles, if you notice she doesn't do the ones on the left hand side (as you look at the screen). She climbs the steps that are at the side. He obviously isn't strapped in properly as it appears. Anyway, he wriggles into the hollow of the steps and is then wheeled off stage along with the girl. Not sure how they do the shadow bits of him trying to unlock the straps. It looked pretty impressive though.

nanna7 Sun 02-Jun-13 17:46:47

I enjoyed the shadow act. It brought tears to my eyes again. It would be amazing if they win as they are something totally different. I agree that there are too many children's acts in the final. It's a lot of pressure on them.

Charleygirl Sun 02-Jun-13 20:30:38

Re the children, a lot will depend on their parents because they cannot all win. If they have pushy parents I do not know how the children will take rejection. I hope that Ant and Dec have a box of tissues handy.

Charleygirl Sun 02-Jun-13 20:32:35

Thanks HappyNanna, I obviously was not watching closely enough.
