I forgot to watch the first episode last week so I'm going to watch them both on catch up it looks very good..

Brilliant! Well written and gripping. Excellent acting and totally believable.

Yes, I enjoyed it too - wasn't sure what to expect as Nicola Walker seems to be in everything these days but it was very good, and different.

How does River explain to the authorities how he came to know that the guy in jail did not murder his girlfriend...that it was a suicide pact gone wrong...... when it was the manifestation of the dead girl who told him what actually happened.

He will tell them he climbed the tree and found the rope. And put two and two together.

I'm not sure who the guy in the prison was. The one he was punching at the end. But he wasn't.

But how did he know about the rope. Body not found....

The guy he was punching ..but wasn't...was the author of the book he is reading.

Oh right! I think I need to watch it again tomorrow.

Now the programme has actually started (haven't watched it yet) I'm hoping I never have to see that bloody trailer again

I watched this as it happened which is most unusual as I usually record and watch after DGC have gone back to Mum.

Brilliant acting and compelling viewing though I expected him to have a heart attack after all that running and climbing trees! He didn't look that fit! I had tears in my eyes at the end. I don't quite know why.

I didn't watch it, but I must have seen the trailer because I kept dreaming about ghosts last night!

Watched it,and didn't understand it,again.Watched Lewis and didn't understand that either.

I started to watch it but found it incredibly depressing so gave up after 30 minutes!

Perhaps I should try again next week

Oh my mistake , I'm sure they said it was the second episode last night oh well I'm off to watch it on catch up...

It's Nicola Walker's time! She's a good actress, I like this new one it's quite quirky, a bit of the "Sixth Sense" feel to it. I think I prefer the new series "Unforgotten" which she is also in, 2nd part tomorrow. I thought that got off to really promising start.

I enjoyed River. It has had a very promising beginning, and I am looking forward to the next episode. I like anything supernatural.

I thought it was fantastic, really well written. What a curse River has, seeing manifests.

Just watched it with OH he went to sleep but I loved it, but I am puzzled as to where the young girls body is too.

Seems I've missed something actually worth watching !

When River climbed the tree he also found the body - you could see part of the colourful coat the dead girl was wearing in the bottom RH corner of the screen - then you saw the ghost of the girl sitting on the branch with him wearing the coat. That is why the young fellow would be released and why River realised he would try to kill himself now. They could not search the cells often as the young chap got the wire from the fence very early on in the episode.
