Ingredients3 tbsp sunflower oil700g lean beef (cubed) 1 red onion (chopped finely) 3 garlic cloves 1 tbsp tomato purée 85ml malt vinegar 55g demerara sugar 3 tbsp clear honey 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 300ml passata 150ml vegetable stock |

Method1. Rub the beef with salt and brown evenly in the oil, then pop in the slow cooker (keep warm on low setting).2. To the same pan, add the chopped onion and chopped garlic and soften for four minutes. 3. In a separate bowl or jug add all the other ingredients and mix well. Add this mixture to the onion and garlic and simmer for 5 minutes. 4. Transfer all of it to the slow cooker with the beef and cook for 3 hours on high. 5. Serve with basmati rice or pop in the fridge and have cold with salad. YUMM |
