Handy HintYou can adjust the quantities, e.g. to use a little less butter or more flour. I don't think it's critical. Just experiment until you've got the taste and texture you want |

MethodRub butter into flour (or use a food processor)Add sugar and egg and mix to a smooth dough Wrap the dough in baking parchment and chill for half an hour or so, as with pastry. Then roll and cut out and bake at 170°C/325°F/Gas 3 on baking parchment-lined baking trays for 10-12 mins or until done how you like them. |
