As part of our preparations to get the mobile site up and running we are changing the way we do reviews to make sure they work just as well on a phone or tablet as they do on the desktop site.

This means discontinuing the old-style review pages and moving them onto the forums instead. We will also be losing the product reviews topic on the forums as we reckon it's far easier to find reviews for beauty products, say, under 'Style and beauty' or great hotels under 'Travel' than it is to trawl through reams of things that are not relevant to your search.

That bit coming soon - but for now we will be reposting all your reviews for eating and drinking out on this thread so that the info is still available to anyone who'd like to use it. Of course if you have others that you would like to rave/moan about do feel free to add here too.

Café Rouge, Milton Keynes - overall rating 10/10

(From cleona)

(2012) We eat here using our Tesco vouchers and always have a good meal and good service.

Cafe Mila, Godalming, Surrey - overall rating 10/10

(From nanaej)

(2013) This cafe has a lovely atmosphere. It serves a range of light meals that are have a high quality home-cooked feel. Great coffee and a range of teas too. There are all sorts of books placed on window sills and shelves that customers can read and some you can take away for free too!

Well behaved kids welcome. They have a kids menu (not chicken nuggets and chips!) and a covered buggy park with security locks. Friendly staff.

Carmela, Horsham, West Sussex - overall rating 10/10

(From Bellesnan)

(2011) A family run Sicilian restaurant in superb surroundings. We have had two family lunches with a 1 year old and 3 year old and we have been welcomed with open arms and the children made to feel so special. The food is great and the two brothers and sister who run it are lovely, lovely people.

Casa Colombiana, Leeds - overall rating 10/10

(From Maggiemaybe)

(2014) When you're shopped out, skip the big chains and try the superb coffee at this little independent gem in the beautiful Grand Arcade in Leeds. It's roasted on the premises and tastes and smells divine. Comfy chairs, South American music, lovely friendly owners - what's not to like? Food is on offer too and I've heard it's good, but I can only vouch for the excellent homemade cake that goes so well with the coffee.

Chez Fred, Westbourne, Dorset - overall rating 10/10

(From GLOWBOX)

(2011) Excellent fish and chip restaurant and take away--visited on numerous occasions and standard always very good quality.

Well known in Bournemouth area so there can be a queue to get a table but it moves quickly and makes the taste even better for the wait. Good service too.

Highly recommend if you are in the area of Westbourne.

Crossways Hotel, Wilmington, Sussex - overall rating 10/10

(From Lucyella)

(2012) Fantastic. Food, atmosphere, everything for a special evening out. Seems expensive but what you get for the money is something very out of the ordinary. In my opinion the best restaurant I have been to ever. Smallish restaurant but you have your table for the entire evening - dinner can take up to 3 hours of lovely food, laid back friendly atmosphere. We go for special occasions and have never been disappointed. Sometimes we have an overnight stay. The bedrooms are also lovely and I have never had a better breakfast. Looking forward to our next visit

Fego Caffé, Ascot - overall rating 10/10

(From NanKate)

(2014) Although it's a bit pricey, they serve fabulous food all day. Their coffee and almond croissant is scrummy.

(From pammygran)

(2012) Lovely setting, real old English Pub, very pleasant staff, good grub.

Golden Lion, Winchester - overall rating 10/10

(From Christabel)

(2011) A very welcoming pub with a blazing fire in winter and staff that are very friendly and attentive. The food is perfectly cooked and extremely well presented and tastes wonderful. We normally find that just the main course is plenty to satisfy most people and is sometimes more than enough. The prices are very reasonable and they keep the Wadworth's beer very well.

Jun, Amsterdam - overall rating 10/10

(From Happy2Be)

(2014) I have visited Amsterdam on a number of occasions and it's always worth seeking out an Indonesian restaurant as Dutch food is high quality but can be rather bland. However, you have to be careful with your choice as there are a lot of Indonesian restaurants to choose from, some rather cheap and nasty. Jun is one of the best. Indonesian restaurants offer a meal which involves small portions of up to 32 different dishes, yes 32. If you haven't tried Indonesian food before then this is a good option as you will soon find your favourite dishes to order next time around. The Indonesians are known for their service and hospitality and the staff at Jun are great for this. Try to keep lunch to a light snack if you are planning to have dinner here.

Market Chippy, Swansea market - overall rating 10/10

(From JessM)

(2011) Unpretentious is not a strong enough word to use for this establishment, set as it is in the secret foodie heaven of Swansea market. Locals take for granted the excellent seafood, local produce, meat and baked products, including Welsh Cakes, hot off the griddle. There is just one delicatessen, selling Welsh cheeses, but other than that it is just as it was in my childhood when my Nana and I shopped for dabs, cockles, laverbread, thick bacon and lamb.

Set amongst this cornucopia it would still be easy for the Market Chippy to serve a mediocre bacon sandwich, with sliced bread and bacon from plastic bags. Instead the owner sources her materials locally - crusty fresh bread, sliced by hand and salty Welsh bacon, cooked to your taste. Spot of butter. Job done. Possibly the best bacon sandwich in the world.

Marks & Spencer restaurant, Hedge End, Southampton - overall rating 10/10

(From Pinkhater)

(2011) I had lunch today with friends in the upstairs restaurant of this huge M & S.

It was probably the best tasting meal I have had out for years. My companions agreed. The service was good, the price was good and all in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Nevill Bull, Birling, West Malling, Kent - overall rating 10/10

(From couragebest)

(2011) Lovely, friendly pub in very pretty Kent village. We got such a warm welcome when we popped in, it was so beautifully decorated and the fire was roaring we just had to stay and have a delicious lunch.

A very eclectic pub, with collections of allsorts, just makes for a wonderful experience. The food is all home cooked (you can tell no packets are used here) and served in mismatched tureens, such a lovely touch. We have been several times and never been disappointed.

Please go, you will love it. If I could give more out of 10 I would!

Rainbow's End, Glastonbury, Somerset - overall rating 10/10

(From Earthynanna)

(2011) For those of you who remember when yoghurt was exotic and that any mention of chickpeas, chili and couscous would prevoke nothing but bemusement, I thought I would share this wonderful cafe in Glastonbury.

I thought I was so daring, the first time I entered a wholefood cafe! Now luckily all this delicious, healthy food is available for us all to cook at home.

Sadly, for the vegetarian or vegan, it is not always easy to find anything other than a grudging vegetable lasagne or strogaboff.

At Rainbows End you will find a wonderful variety of freshly cooked vegetarian food, including lasagne and stroganoff, but of a standard a million times better than the factory-made, microwaved offerings in many pubs and cafes.

There are hearty soups, with excellent bread, meze with a variety of salads, curries, stews, pies, tarts and the most gorgeous garlic potatoes.

The puddings and cakes look lovely but the main courses are so huge I never have room to try them.

The staff are friendly and efficient, the surroundings pleasant, and the meals are excellent value for money, with most main choices costing around £6 - £7.

Renaissance, Shrewsbury, Shropshire - overall rating 10/10

(From HildaW)

(2011) We have used this lovely little restaurant several times since moving to this area and we are never disappointed. Stephen and Julie offer very superior home-cooked food in a delightfull little dining room that always makes me think of having a smart dinner at a rich maiden Aunt's house. They use top quality local ingredients and everything is seasonal. Their lunches are very good value, you can choose from a list of lovely dishes and have either a small portion or the usual size one. They also do taster menus on Friday and Saturday evenings. It's a set six courses for just under £30 and is always delicious and you are always made to feel very welcome.

Tangs Chinese restaurant, Seaford, Sussex - overall rating 10/10

(From Lucyella)

(2012) Great Chinese food whether for a special a la carte evening or a lunch-time fixed price menu. I try to go at least once every few weeks, sometimes more often, but got to watch the waistline. If you are in the area anytime well worth a visit.

The Boathouse, Dedham, Essex - overall rating 10/10

(From farmgal)

(2016) Very popular venue on the river Stour. Basically a wooden structure with a large conservatory attached. Rowing boats for hire in season. Good food, good service, and in a picturesque setting.

Nice touch to this restaurant is their 'taster menu'. 3 small but satisfying courses at a cost of £11.95 which represents excellent value. Soft drinks and tea and coffee were also good value. Due to popularity, it is advisable to book to avoid disappointment!!!

The Cut, London W1 - overall rating 10/10

(From stephgr)

(2011) If you win the lottery or want to splash out this Christmas then I strongly recommend The Cut on Park Lane in London. The service is incredibly helpful and friendly and the food is amazing. The menu is mostly meat or fish so it's not a place for veggies but if you like steak then this is the best restaurant in London. It's suitable for all ages including grandchildren.

The Dee Hotel, West Kirby, Merseyside - overall rating 10/10

(From glammanana)

(2011) Whilst The Dee is part of a muti-national chain it keeps it "local" atmosphere and is a very friendly pub/restaurant, my husband pops in every week while I shop and the staff always remember him and what he will order, even complimenting that he has a nice selection of shirts that they admire.

The food is excellent and they do specialist nights such as curry etc.The prices are very affordable and the drinks are below the average price with a very good selection of wines and beers.

The Duke of Wellington, Ryarsh, Kent - overall rating 10/10

(From AnthonyGrumps)

(2011) An excellent little country pub with a good varied menu, excellent beer and a lovely welcoming atmosphere. It has a lovely warm covered outside seating area, and in the winter a roaring log fire.
