Hi everyone. I am a very new member and note that many of us have had similar experiences - it is useful to see how we all handle these sometimes stressful situations.

So much for tropical paradises then. Welcome aboard. I guess the majority of us are in some way isolated, else why would we be here?

I only joined a month or so ago and have found it brilliant just reading the comments even if you dont post yourself.
I moved here inApril with DH and FIL and it has been quite stressful and lonely in all male company so it is great to see some normal female chat.

Welcome Granzilla and Tinfar! I have only been a gransnetter for a couple of months but it is great! Serious or not so serious threads add to the variety of topics - always something of interest. We are in the throes of moving house and so life is totally manic. GN is a great way of chilling out a bit plus of course the occasional medicinal or !!! Welcome to you both x

I am an ex Mumsnetter and transferred to here when it started. I occasionally look back at Mumsnet and now can't see why I was so hooked on it. I find everybody much more interesting and likeable on here!!
