Today,dear Lord, I'm 80, and there's much I haven't done
So I hope,dear Lord,you'll let me live until I'm 81
But then if I'm not finished all I want to do
Would you let me stay a while, until I'm 82
I'd like to visit many spots; there's many sights to see
D'you think that you could manage to make it 83?
I've done alot, but there is so much more in store
I'd like it very much to live until I'm 84
And if by then I'm still alive,
I'd like to stay until I'm 85
The world is changing quickly;
I wonder could you fix
for me to see what happens
When I get to 86
I know,dear lord, it's much to ask
and though it's nice in heaven
I'd rather stay right here
Unti I'm 87
I know,by then, I won't be fast
more like I'll be late
But twould be nice to be
around when I'm 88!!!!
I will have seen so many things
and had a lovely time
I'm sure I shall be willing
to leave at 89
