I love reading the forum messages, but I'm new to it and don't know what the abbreviations mean. Help please!

Thanks goldengran for your welcome, I haven"t been on mumsnet as it took me enough trouble to get on to gransnet, however that doesn"t mean to say I might not have a go when I "m back from holiday the only thing is though that reading other threads people don"t seem to excited about it.
