Now remember it is "Virtual" I don't want you knocking on my door in the morning.. (do read the small print below) grin

small print>>>>>>>> "this is a "Virtual" not real £500 " (unfortunatly) sad

I did that frida when we heard they were going to phase out bulbs we bought a shipping order and packed then in the attic. I could probably keep a small town in bulbs grin

Nah, that was back in the day, all very acceptable now as a career path! Now I think of it, I'm not sure who they save now - but they do very, very nice things for people fallen on hard times.

I would buy loads of lamps and lightbulbs, these energy saving bulbs we have to use are rubbish, it's like living in a cave.

BlueSky Sat 03-Nov-12 14:17:23

Would give it to my favourite children's charity: what I don't have I don't miss, and I would be really pleased to be able to do this. sunshine

Mishap yes I think we know where your coming from..like you say we are all very caring gransnetters and not very good at treating ourselves...hmm
and like me most prob feel guilty spending on ourselves.(as I ahve just doen this morning by buying a remote control for my camara at £19-00) when I havn't bought my GS anything for a few weeks ! (although did take him and myself to see Madagasca 3 in 3D ) the other week smile and ws brill!!

but! it is just a little virtual dream smile and we all deserve a little "Virtual" now and then lol..

gracesmum Sat 03-Nov-12 13:46:06

mishap if the money were to go to the most deserving GNetter, you'd be right up there! You need a bit of pampering!Make a New Year's resolution - "I will not come last on every list, when goodies are being given out"

Mishap Sat 03-Nov-12 11:52:19

Do you know, I am wracking my brains and find this almost impossible! The idea of blowing £500 on myself is such an alien concept - all I can think of are things my family need! I am not a vitruous person at all and this makes me realise how my brain has been so attuned to a "caring" role for decades (as mother, carer to OH and SW) that I find it hard to step outside this.

More thinking........I guess I would book a nice cottage by the sea for a week!
