During the winter months I find that I start winding down for the day much earlier than in the summer.

I sometimes get into my PJs at 5.00 pm and feel so much more relaxed however my DH doesn't go to bed till late so I do feel rather sluttish walking around in my dressing gown when he is fully dressed.

On the rare occasion he is away I get changed as soon as I close the curtains. hmm

Anyone else with bad habits like me ?

I did slip into some unflattering nightwear when my DH went to the cinema in the evening with someone a few weeks back.
He did a bit of a doubletake when he got back.
Felt goood though!

I do sometimes have a shower in the evening instead of in the morning, then I will get into my PJ's for sitting around the house..

Nothing nicer than getting into PJs early but I don't like dressing gowns so I usually stick a big jumper on top.

Ana Sun 23-Nov-14 17:06:46

I don't do it. I can't go around in my nightie in the morning, either, I have to get dressed unless I'm really ill!

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 17:14:21

Ana I admire you for that. grin I hate having to get dressed until the caffeine my breakfast has gone in. I don't do the evening thing though.

trisher Sun 23-Nov-14 17:51:45

Oooh I do both! Dressing gown in the morning, but I have a fleecy top and some fleecy lounging pants for evenings So much cosier and more relaxing, and, yes, they go on earlier in the winter.

Ana Sun 23-Nov-14 18:16:55

I must add that I do get changed into more slobby attire when I come back from work, or if I've been out! grin

ginny Sun 23-Nov-14 18:36:51

If I have jobs to do in the morning I tend to wait until after to shower and dress.

Don't always do it but getting into Jimjams and a fluffy dressing gown early on a cold dark evening is such a lovely comfy feeling .

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 18:56:40

Yes. I do that ginny. But the postman probably thinks I've only just rolled out of bed. shock

pompa Sun 23-Nov-14 19:02:40

Yes, I have been known to still be in my PJ,s at lunchtime, then have a shower and put clean PJ's back on. Slob or what. But as I sleep in tee shirt + lounge pants, I am decent should visitors arrive.

Ana Sun 23-Nov-14 19:08:15

What, no bra? shock

That would make me positively indecent, whatever I was wearing...grin

Nonu Sun 23-Nov-14 19:10:50

I read my paper in bed at about 8.20, then get dressed immediately.

Could not bear the thought of slobbing around in nightie , robe and slippers . Quite unseemly IMO.
hmm

pompa Sun 23-Nov-14 19:17:16

Ana, is my secret out - no bra & commando

pompa Sun 23-Nov-14 19:19:05

Nonu, so you wouldn't approve of me wandering around the garden in my boxers on nice mornings ?

littleflo Sun 23-Nov-14 19:20:41

I am taking that vision to bed with me tonight, pompa

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 19:23:10

pompa Sun 23-Nov-14 19:25:16

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 19:29:52

littleflo I was joking there!

pompa Sun 23-Nov-14 19:34:24

JBF, couldn't you have let me imagine it might be true a little longer sad

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 19:35:56

grin No way. No encouragement from me.

Nonu Sun 23-Nov-14 19:54:06

I am more than happy to slob around in my silk nightie and matching negligée. Love faffing about before I have a shower and as I have no need now to jump up and be organised first thing.

As I take the first few sips of my kick start, morning espresso, couldn't care less what I am wearing........just give me the coffee and no one gets hurt grin

I agree NanKate, during dark winter nights I love slipping into my goonie around 8.00pm. Bliss.

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 20:15:24

WTF What actually is a goofy please?

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 23-Nov-14 20:16:19

Goonie!
