They are so lovely. Like goldengirl they reminded me of kaleidoscopes. I still love them and can't resist picking them up and playing with them in toyshops.

There was a wonderful programme on BBBC2 where the chap who does the long walks (carries a brolly) did a measurement of a stretch of coastline using the fractal theory. It was fascinating.

Whilst searching for images to use for making 3D birthday cards I came across fractals. They are beautiful! The theory is beyond my comprehension but they are fascinating. The following link shows some.
