Look up stranded knitting on Youtube. You should be able to get a good demo. there to help you.

Thanks Bagitha, I will give that a go. It is not a critical piece of work, just a golf club cover for my DDs boyfriend. Using it as a practice piece before I start using my good wool for the baby stuff.

Loop it loosely in the back of every sixth stitch. I hope the main colour is not too light, or the other might show through!

Ok ladies, I now have had my lesson and am happily knitting with DPNs, BUT my next problem is that I now need to use two colours, not a problem normally but the pattern requires me to knit 6 in one colour and then knit 36 in another and back to the 6 in first colour and then 36 etc etc. My question is how do I carry the minor colour through the 36 stitch section? Gosh, what would I do without all the help I am getting from this site ;)
