Thanks for the preview. I'm going on one of the Fungi walks at Kew on Sunday so looking forward to it even more. I discovered an ancestor, George Edward Massee, who was Principal Asst in the Kew Herbarium in late 19th & early 20th c. Bit of a maverick who joined the French Foreign Legion as a break from fungi collecting around the world. Kew accused him of selling their specimens to New York Botanical Gardens but he claimed they were from his private collection - not sure they believed him. However, he was a general good egg in my eyes as he was the one male who dared to support Beatrix Potter when she needed one to present her paper to the Linnaean Society. He named all his kids after fungi & plants!

Wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed the artist's work and his knowledge. Found myself wishing he'd do more info. vids. on fungi.
