Oh rats.
Apparently his wife is not too pleased.

It's lovely!

GagaJo Thu 16-Apr-20 11:21:55

Ooooo (copying, saving, sending to my Y12 students!).

Oopsminty Thu 16-Apr-20 11:24:30

Brilliant, isn't it?

I do like Banksy

annodomini Thu 16-Apr-20 11:45:48

It's hilarious! Reminds me of an occasion I'd rather forget!

Witzend Thu 16-Apr-20 12:02:12

Love it!

Firecracker123 Thu 16-Apr-20 12:28:48

I'm always amazed that when Banksy's artwork appears on buildings no one ever sees him or takes a picture of him painting. Has anyone seen a photo of him. One of life's little mysteries lol.

Looking at the toilet reminded me of testing that's going on in Australia in sewage of all places as scientists reckon that the virus is in poo. What a job !

My weird thought is that Banksy’s art work sells for millions but his bathroom is hardly state of the art.

timetogo2016 Thu 16-Apr-20 13:10:28

Made me laugh.
Thanks Banksy and thanks Nandalot.
His bathroom is now worth a fortune so his wife shouldn`t be too cross.

Greeneyedgirl Thu 16-Apr-20 13:17:26

How brilliant. I might set about "customising" my house now.

GagaJo Thu 16-Apr-20 13:40:44

Firecracker123, one of my students who is also an art student, tells me Banksy is actually a collective of artists.

Firecracker123 Thu 16-Apr-20 13:43:31

GagaJo bit of a con then lol

Stand up the real original Banksy.

Alishka Thu 16-Apr-20 13:46:11

Banksy is a collective? That true?
That picture made me laugh. I'd love a print of it - and I've a space on my bathroom wall where it would look great!

GagaJo Thu 16-Apr-20 13:50:20

I don't know Alishka. I think he thrives on the urban myths about him.

Obviously I’m missing something. Anyone else painting on buildings and public property would be called a vandal. As for those rats .... yeuk

Nortsat Thu 16-Apr-20 18:50:52

I agree Nandalot, his bathroom isn’t up to much, for someone so wealthy ... (that was my first thought) ...???

ChrisT Fri 17-Apr-20 10:01:33

It's an open secret who Bansky is. Most people in Bristol, who care, know who he is. A simple search on Google will tell you, with photos.

harrigran Fri 17-Apr-20 10:10:08

I don't believe for one minute that it is his actual bathroom.
Our town has quite a lot of gable ends painted with quite spectacular art work.

Growing0ldDisgracefully Fri 17-Apr-20 10:23:29

Love it. Love his sense of humour.

Craftycat Fri 17-Apr-20 10:46:56

I love it - our cats would like that in our house!!

Callistemon Fri 17-Apr-20 10:54:38

If I was Mrs Banksy I'd be getting out the can of Magnolia Dulux and a large brush.
Fortune or no fortune!!

Thecatshatontgemat Fri 17-Apr-20 10:56:06

Personally, l think it's a jolly wheeze.
Stunning but of art though.

Callistemon Fri 17-Apr-20 10:59:32

Others may copy, Gagajo, but there is only one Banksy, as ChrisT says.
A Bristol graffiti artist (well, possibly from Yate).

I enjoy the "mystery" of banksy. In a world where everyone overshares personal information to an absurd degree, a little mystery is a nice change. I'm off to google him now. No, not really.
