Witzend you are lovely, thanks for responding. I only do stitching, and didn't know where to look for crochet. blush

Oh that's lovely Witzend. I think they would go down a treat as raffle prizes etc. - wouldn't little children just love one of these!!!

PS, Gaunt47, I just had a look at Lovecrafts, there’s plenty coming up, inc. a little snowman. Lots of patterns are downloadable and there are some free ones, too.

Beautifully made Witzend, at present I am making a pair of boot cuffs! got some chunky wool so thought I would give it a go.

@Gaunt47, I should imagine that if you do a search for ‘Christmas crochet’ on e.g. the Lovecrafts website, plenty would come up - there are masses of patterns on there and so many people enjoy making C-word things.

Those wonderful little snowmen reminds me - does anyone know of a book with crochet patterns for similar items?
I have a neighbour who was a wonderful crocheter and thought it might be good to get her interested again.
She's shut in and has lost interest in everything sadly.

Beautiful... I’ll buy one too. (C-word emoji alert ...) ?

Schnauzer1 Wed 22-Apr-20 11:47:43

Love it.

Just in case anyone wants to know, the pattern for the actual wreath came from a downloadable pattern on the Lovecrafts website. I can send a link if anyone wants. It was amazingly easy, and I’m useless with complicated patterns.

However I didn’t care for the decorations on that one, so the snowmen are from the mini ones in Jean Greenhowe’s Christmas Special book. Also v easy, if a mite fiddly to sew up.

I would buy a couple of those. They are beautifully done.

Yes, I agree, they are lovely and should be very popular.

Eloethan Mon 20-Apr-20 22:57:29

I'm sure they'd make very welcome raffle prizes - lovely.

Many thanks, everybody - I’ll get on with another. (Anything but housework!).

That's really lovely and would be excellent for the Christmas Fair. There, I've used the C word!

SirChenjin Mon 20-Apr-20 20:00:27

Gorgeous! There are some really talented people on GN smile

Oopsminty Mon 20-Apr-20 19:58:13

I'd certainly buy one

mary51 Mon 20-Apr-20 19:54:43

It's lovely.

Baggs Mon 20-Apr-20 19:51:19

I think a couple of those would be very good ?

ginny Mon 20-Apr-20 19:49:51

It is lovely, a lot of work.

Witzend Mon 20-Apr-20 19:48:32

Apologies for C-word connotations!
This one will be for Gdcs, but wondering whether to make more for their respective school fairs (pre school and primary) in late November. They always want raffle prizes, usually nothing expensive - would a couple of these be good, do you think?
