Cheelu and shyal I echo what you both say. So nice to know that when we are thinking all the thoughts we sometimes have we can share them here and not feel so bad or different. Also get some good advice and grounded opinoins .

shysal, you've been here from the outset, haven't you? When I see your name pop up, I always read your posts - I'm glad you've stayed with us.

I would just like to say a big thank you to you cheelu. You have brought a breath of fresh air to this site. I always look forward to reading your new threads in particular. I do not often contribute but catch up several times a day. I live alone and Gransnet has made a difference to my life too and has become almost addictive.

Gransnet is such a warm and wonderful community, love visiting, and occasionally adding a comment or two.

I think GN has helped many of us since its conception 20 months ago. I have certainly benefited from good advice, friendship and sympathy, especially over the last few months. Thank you all.

I echo cheelu There have been times when I have felt very down but just coming onto Gransnet has helped me an awful lot, so thanks to all of you and I hope you all have a very happy, healthy New Year.
