Moved you're right - it seems that the company which owns Primark does indeed own Fortnumsgrin

I know the daughter of the top banana at AB, don't think she shops in Primark!

Sounds like the 'phoner in' on You and Yours didn't know what he was talking about. grin

janthea Tue 15-Jan-13 15:52:15

Primark owner defies gloom with profit promise and expansion plan

.
Associated British Foods, which owns Primark as well as several household name food brands, has told investors that profits will grow and that it will open more stores.

Sign of the times: Cut-price clothes retailer has flourished in the squeeze.

Primark has been the star performer within AB Foods over recent years as it has ridden the boom in demand for budget clothing on the high street.

The company will boost its presence on London's Oxford Street later this month with a new four-floor outlet. It will also have 28 outlets in Spain after opening five new stores in the debt-laden country this summer.

Lots of fresh fruit and veg, including strawberries and, like Cheelu, cherries, can`t afford `em these days.
Meat and poultry
Port and sparkling wine
Cream filled chocolates

Talking of shopping, I heard on the radio today that Primark is owned by Fortnums, is that true?

Gally Tue 15-Jan-13 15:31:26

crimson your so funny that did make me laugh you too Sel so funny but very wise!!!

Sel Tue 15-Jan-13 14:52:57

Watermelon cheelu? You haven't thought this through smile I'd follow crimson down the expensive booze route.

crimson Tue 15-Jan-13 14:50:20

I would stash it full of expensive booze, sell it on and then decide at leisure what to get for myself with the money. If you gave me 5 minutes and started counting I'd just freeze with indecision sad.

cheelu Tue 15-Jan-13 14:47:26

I am easily pleased and a low maintenance kind of a person, I said cherrys because I love them but they are sooo expensive...
