I do admire Susan Boyle, even though her songs are not really my thing in the main. However, she does have a very good understanding of what she is singing. Her rendition of Make me a Channel of your Peace is very well judged. So many "pop" singers would be tempted to over-egg the pudding and use that "vomit voice" (closed throat like retching); but she sings this totally straight using her voice very gently - I commend her for this. She has a wonderful command of her instrument. Well done that lady!
