Improving with age

I think that my OH is still very attractive, not the same as when we married, but still attractive. Grey hair is no turn off

Liam Neeson, and I agree on Sean Bean - it’s in the eyes I think. I don’t like the overly groomed and shiny look.

Well I certainly haven't improved with age!

I braved the cold and snow flurries this afternoon and did an hour's walk, feeling very virtuous and brave. I took a selfie so I could show-off to family and friends.

Gawd, I look so old - need to have that blepharoplasty that I've promised myself for the past 10 years!

I agree with most of the above and do think that men sometimes age better than women. It seems that certain women celebs go in for more plastic surgery than men and if overdone, looks absolutely ridiculous. I, too, saw Felicity Kendall on Graham Norton. Her mouth looks quite “odd”, I couldn’t stop looking at it. Priscilla Presley is another actress who also overdid the plastic surgery and can barely speak as her mouth is so distorted. As for Tom Jones - he’s still very attractive and has definitely got that twinkle in his eye, the old devil!!!

Sam Neill was on the One Show recently. He's 74 and very attractive.
Also Richard Madeley looks wise only. I find him very irritating though.

John Barrowman. He’s 53 and still looking good. He has a wicked sense of humour too.

The Boss for me please ? ? ?

Comparing photos of almost any celebrity, or almost any person 10 years apart will always make them look better in the current photo where they will be dressed in 2021 style: clothes, hair style, make up etc because you will be comparing them with the same situation 10 years ago when, ineveitable they will be in the styles that were spot on on 2010, but in 2021, look very dated.

I agree about Gary Barlow. Looks loads better than Robbie Williams who has always fancied himself, and looks ‘fake’.

Sean Bean, was sexy when young, and has a lovely craggy, ‘worn’ look now, but still got that something.

The late Sean Connery

Pierce Brosnan just gets better and better with age

Kandinsky Sun 07-Feb-21 16:50:54

Too many women go too far with plastic surgery too and end up looking ridiculous - anyone see Felicity Kendal on Graham Norton? - absolutely awful.
I’m sure Sir Tom Jones has had a few nips and tucks but he still looks good. Hasn’t over done it.

Kandinsky Sun 07-Feb-21 16:47:19

Gary Barlow is only 7 years younger than me but looks amazing!
I do think men age better than women ( sadly )

Chewbacca Sun 07-Feb-21 16:44:42

he's still a bit of a lech just under the surface not that far under the surface.....wink

EllanVannin Sun 07-Feb-21 16:42:04

Rick Astley's a lovely chap, always has been.

paddyanne Sun 07-Feb-21 16:16:03

Tom Jones, saw him on the Voice and said to my OH he has aged very well ,in fact I never thought he was attractive as a young or middle aged man .He's far more attrctive now ..on the outside, I get the impression he's still a bit of a lech just under the surface

I agree about Gary.
I thought this about Raymond Blanc when I watched his new show. Grey hair suits him and he now has a beard which draws attention away from his large nose. I am not a great fan of facial hair, but in his case I like it.

I agree with you he has aged very well and his personality shines. He is rather down to earth and doesn’t comes across full of himself. I was watching Rick Ashley being interviewed the other week he is the same aged quite well and down to earth.

This may seem a bit light-weight, but I was wondering who you think has improved with age, looks-wise? Male or female. For me, I’d have to say Gary Barlow. He’s now 50 and although he’s always been good-looking, I think he looks even better at 50. He was on the Graham Norton tv show a few weeks ago, and I was impressed with his personality and sense of humour too, but I couldn’t also help thinking that he’s ageing very well. Still young really - at 50 (and young enough to be my son!).
