Obviously not - they don't even know your name!

Why don't you log into your PayPal account and check.

Hi ExD

I have received this mail aa couple of times

In my case I know it's not legitimate because I don't have a PayPal account!

No. For three reasons at least.
It addresses you as "Dear Customer" not by your name.
It has no access to see your actual credit card or any suspicious activity on it.
It is asking you to login to Paypal from a link it gives, which could take you a fake website, where someone would gather your login details and use them criminally.

Go to your Paypal account through a new browser wondow. If there is any message for you, you can find out there. Contact your bank to ask them whether they are aware of problems with Paypal.

Forward it to Paypal.

I’ve had at least 2 similar emails recently, plus one about my direct debit for TV license being cancelled. I deleted the PayPal ones as I don’t have an account. For TV Licensing I went to their website and checked out their advice. I reported the email.

Always be very careful with any emails that talk about money.

Phoning your bank etc. is good advice
