I've just done mine online - I really don't remember the last one, presumably 10 years' ago.

Charleygirl5 Sun 07-Mar-21 15:02:50

Yes- I did mine online the day it arrived. Some of the questions were strange.

FlexibleFriend Sun 07-Mar-21 15:07:34

I haven't received it.

NotSpaghetti Sun 07-Mar-21 15:19:24

No. I haven't.
I feel we are guessing if we do this "early"

Grandma11 Sun 07-Mar-21 15:22:40

Likewise l did ours online the day that it arrived, DH was not best pleased by some of the questions it asked, and just replied that it was none of their business!

DD had to fill hers in for a family of 5, both her and her husband have Management level keyworker roles, they are a blended family, and the questions asked were lengthly and intrusive. It took her over two hours to complete it, again filled in online.

Did ours the day it arrived too. I agree, some of the questions are rather strange but as for change of circumstances........don't think I will be un-retiring any time soon, nor will I be having anymore children??. So, it's done.

The central heating question was strange, I thought.

There was a census when I was at Brownie camp in 1951. One or two of the girls had to phone home (not easy in the wilds of Derbyshire) to find out where they were born.

It also seemed obsessed with my education, which was over 60 years ago.

BlueBelle Sun 07-Mar-21 15:28:31

I haven’t had one to complete yet
I don’t remember the last one either riverwalk Was that online ?

EllanVannin Sun 07-Mar-21 15:29:43

I'll fill in mine tomorrow when the circus is on grin

tanith Sun 07-Mar-21 15:38:23

Did mine this morning there were an awful lot of questions but it’s done now.

Whitewavemark2 Sun 07-Mar-21 15:40:14

I don't think the education questions were for everyone. Not at home, so can't check form. I completed my part days ago, still waiting for OH....

Patsy70 Sun 07-Mar-21 15:45:41

Just completed it.

Cabbie21 Sun 07-Mar-21 15:51:38

Haven’ t had the letter yet with the link. I thought it was meant to be for 21 March?

joannapiano Sun 07-Mar-21 15:53:23

We’ve just done ours. We were going to wait until the 21st, but there was an advert on tv last night that said we could complete it as soon as we got the letter.

Blossoming Sun 07-Mar-21 15:56:38

No, got the letter yesterday and will complete it online on census day.

lemsip Sun 07-Mar-21 15:56:45

I states;
Please fill in the form on Sunday 21 March 2021, or as soon as you can afterwards. This is so we can count the whole population on the same day.
Those are the rules,

TwiceAsNice Sun 07-Mar-21 15:57:41

Completed it yesterday after it arrived. I live alone , nobody will be staying with me on the 21st so thought I’d do it straight away so it was done. Agree some questions were strange and not sure of their relevance to be honest!

cornishpatsy Sun 07-Mar-21 15:59:45

Done mine, nothing will change on or before the 21st for me.

Those are the rules,

The accompanying guidance quite clearly states that you can complete the questionnaire before 21 March

'If you know who will be in your household on that day'

Hellogirl1 Sun 07-Mar-21 16:10:08

Mine hasn`t arrived yet.

Cherrytree59 Sun 07-Mar-21 16:24:25

Waiting until census day
21st March 2021.

Just incase one or either of pops our clogs before hand or an offspring plus family need to boomerang home for what ever reason.shock

Genuine question...
What happens if someone is taken into hospital or are in hospital on that date? 21/3/21
Are hospitals obliged to fill in a patient census?

Grandma70s Sun 07-Mar-21 16:29:44

It says that if you submit the form before March 21st, and things change in the meantime, just let them know. It doesn’t say exactly how.

Chestnut Sun 07-Mar-21 16:34:38

I think it's wrong to suggest people fill them in now. The data is for the night of 21st March, and there may be all sorts of reasons why things may have changed by then. If you are in hospital for instance, you are entered there. How many people will even bother notifying them of changes?
