100 Word Challenge

Each week, schools encourage their children to take part in the 100 Word Challenge. Children are given a prompt (sometimes a photo, or a phrase) and then have to write creatively around the prompt, aiming for 100 words of writing. Children of all ages take part but this wouldn't be successful without Team 100WC who take an hour each week to commit to commenting on their writing. Children love the feedback that they get and are amazed that people around the world read their writing. The results have been fantastic with previously reluctant writers showing great enthusiasm and writing for pleasure.
The idea has now become a victim of its own success and we urgently need more people to comment. This will keep numbers for each commenter more manageable. Might you be able to help? All we need is a group of people who will commit to commenting constructively on around 10 pieces of writing each week. If you feel you can help out, you can find out more here:

There is a link on that page to contact Julia Skinner (who devised the idea) if you feel you can help.
Many thanks for reading.
