For the past two or three years, while staying with DD and her family (husband + two girls now aged 19 and 17), we have played games throughout Christmas. Playing in 3 games of 2, we play Scattergories, Pictionary, Boggle, Scrabble and Taboo, sometimes using the electronic game of Buzz. We have tried Trivial Pursuit, but the teenagers aren't very good at general knowledge so we give this a miss. The girls are very competitive, not above cheating, and things can get a bit heated, but generally this routine gives us hours of pleasure, as long as we have a large tin of Quality Street on the table, too! We love the simple game of Uno, too, and a good game of cards.
