Not at all Elegran. Like you and all Gransnetters, I believe in complete freedom of speech as I think that's what makes this such a great country to live in and in which to bring up our children and grandchildren. I apologise unreservedly for offending any coalminers or Northerners as I have nothing but respect for them all. Sadly we only have to open a newspaper to read of the awful consequences of misunderstanding and intolerance. I would hate to think that fellow Gransnetters are about to deliver a fatwa on me for a silly and somewhat frivolous piece of satire that certainly amused my friends and family. I'll take a rain check on training to be a stand up comic as I don't think I'd care for all the haters out there. Finally, don't worry, with over half a million Twitter followers I don't think Katie Hopkins will be looking at your comments too closely.
