I might be a bit dense (please say so, I won't be offended!!!) but I'm trying to see how to get/apply for the free book offer. Click here to find out...it says but the next page doesn't say how to at all! Or have all the freebies been snapped up already? If that's the case I wish someone would say... I'll try to be faster next time...

Thank you from me as well, for my copy of The Singing Mermaid. My grandson loves it, and I`m very impressed with the illustrations and the textured pages.

I was lucky enough to get a free copy of The Singing Mermaid. It is an absolutely lovely book to read to my Granddaughter. She loved the story and the glittery, feely illustrations. We then spent ages counting the fish, shells, gulls and crabs. We talked about why some crabs changed their shells. We went through the different coloured fish. So it isn't just a story, it's a learning aid also. Thanks Gransnet. smile

Hi, On Friday I received a copy of Florentine and the Pig have a lovely picnic. I just had time to read it before my Son came for a visit. I gave it to him for my GD 3yrs and GS 1yr. I know my DL bakes with GD on rainy days, and I'm sure GS will enjoy eating whatever they make. Thank you very much for the book it looked lovely and would be a great gift for the under 5's.

I still can't see how to ever "qualify" for the free copy of the book of the month. Please explain as I clicked the link as soon as I saw it today and, yet again, all the copies have gone. I live on Gransnet, so how am I missing it?

Annobel Fri 10-Aug-12 15:53:56

Luckily it's one I've read, but I've been in that position a couple of time, gracesmum. I think some grans are ready to pounce as soon as they read the newsletter.
