Is it just me or is turning 50 just another number

I was dreading turning 50 I really was Its such a scary number. But now seeings as I don't feel any different what so ever and seeings how I don't look any different than I did when I was 49 it has just become a number and I am fine with it. I quite like getting older I am behaving more grown up I guess and I like it. Plus Nigella Lawson the TV Chef is 52 and she looks ok and she will always be older than me ha ha!!

I never had a problem with big Os until 60 loomed into view. Somehow that seemed more of a watershed figure and I felt a degree of trepidation. Now it's behind me it just seems, as you say about 50 CHEELU, a number. smile

Yes, it is just another number. I have to remind myself how old I am (72) as it does not seem possible that I am so old. It doesn't stop me doing all the things I enjoy, though. My daughter is 50 next year, and she is not looking forward to it - mainly because her husband is eight years younger!

Have a naughty birthday on the horizon this one is the one I have had most problem dealing with, but I guess it is better to be a young 60 than an old 59xx

I'm glad everyone agrees----we are in the book part because I am new to this site and have not got a clue what I am doing--I'm sure I will learn as I go along

Its sooooooo nice speaking to people of my own age!!!!
