How many others would be interested in reading Harry & Meghan's biography as I would ?

Sparklefizz Sun 03-May-20 19:12:12

I admit I've thought about it, but think it would make me very angry. I certainly wouldn't pay good money for it, and will order it from the library once that becomes an option.

Amazon on pre order August
delivery

maddyone Sun 03-May-20 19:26:33

I wouldn’t pay good money for it either Sparklefizz. It will be a complete whitewash of what has happened and written sympathetically towards Harry and Meghan. If I were to read such a book, and these kind of books aren’t really to my taste, I would prefer to read a book which told the truth, warts and all. Not some type of book setting out that H+M were somehow victims. They are not victims, they are the architects of their own situation.

Would never buy it but I expect it'll be in my local 2nd hand shop soon where all books are priced at 20p, that'll dogrin

merlotgran Sun 03-May-20 19:38:02

'Finding Freedom'

Unfortunate title for a book about two self centred pampered freeloaders.

Anyone would think they'd had to row to America in a rubber dinghy. hmm

sodapop Sun 03-May-20 19:39:33

Yes soon be in the charity shops when they reopen Alishka think the same thing happened to David Cameron's book.

heath480 Sun 03-May-20 19:43:28

I like others will wait until it appears in the Charity Shop, shortly after Publication I imagine.

If Meghan Markle has anything to do with it and she has,it will be lies.

Chewbacca Sun 03-May-20 19:46:57

Only if they've sold out of the Beano first.

Cherrytree59 Sun 03-May-20 19:53:34

The blurb ?

Sparklefizz Sun 03-May-20 20:03:02

Spot on, Maddyone

Sparklefizz Sun 03-May-20 20:04:28

And "The Blurb" above has already made me cross!

Namsnanny Sun 03-May-20 20:18:34

maddyone and merlotgran … say it all for me

Chewbacca ...Oh no! I used to like the Beano grin

When did they start to think this one up I wonder?

Callistemon Sun 03-May-20 20:25:29

Is it free on Kindle?

I am on lockdown for weeks; I'll read anything that's free.

aggie Sun 03-May-20 20:58:13

Not even if it’s free !

ginny Sun 03-May-20 21:01:00

I wouldn’t want it if it were being given away.

annsixty Sun 03-May-20 21:05:40

Don’t you have to have lived a life before you can have a biography?
When it is a joint one, does2/3 years count?
Not in my book.

Chewbacca Sun 03-May-20 21:07:23

I can see a pattern forming here..... Tony Blair sought to explain himself and his warmongering decisions via his autobiography "A Journey", and it didn't do anything to redeem him. David Cameron tried to justify his cowardice by writing his autobiography "For The Record" and it brought him ridicule and derision. And now the Sussex's are doing theirs.... hmm wonder what they'll call it? Any guesses?

Anniebach Sun 03-May-20 21:09:11

What will they do next, they so lack dignity, they are
cheap and vulgar ,

Chewbacca Sun 03-May-20 21:14:28

Got it! How about "We Thought We Would Sit On The Throne" by M & H Sussex?

Cherrytree59 Sun 03-May-20 21:15:35

chewy No need to guess, just check out my posts at 19:24 and 19:53wink

merlotgran Sun 03-May-20 21:15:58

It's called 'Finding Nemo Freedom,' Chewbacca.

Chewbacca Sun 03-May-20 21:19:11

Drat! Think mine's more appropriate! wink

Anniebach Sun 03-May-20 21:23:37

They are again ‘doing a Diana’ , I am surprised Toad Burrell
hasn’t written another book, afraid of being sued perhaps

Annecan Sun 03-May-20 21:26:06

Grooooaaaan
Can’t they do us all a favour , just disappear quietly and ‘find freedom’ in obscurity.
Oh no ...I forgot...there’s no money in that...or fame...or self adulation.
