Hello grans! No doubt you are all doing wonderful job as either the part- or full-time carers of your grandchildren.
We are HelpAge International (www.helpage.org) and we work to support older people in developing countries - many of whom are the sole carers of several grandchildren after the parents have died or moved away to seek work.
How people in their seventies, eighties and nineties continue to work and then care and provide for young children, and send them to school, in countries with no pension or social security system is beyond us.
