Oh well. My bedtime. Have to go to see dd and dgd tomorrow as dd has picked up the bug that gd had on sun. As I'm not working tomorrow will drive the 50 miles to go up and help. Feel quite honoured to be asked to be honest.
So, nighty night.

Sorry Glamma a combination of misreading the page and being a bit 'trigger happy'. Oooops! (Did feel a bit of an idiot)

supernana Thu 26-Jan-12 12:03:55

tosh A belated birthday wish from me sunshine
Oldgreymare VERY VERY funny grin
All tests now over and done with. We've travelled approx 1400 miles and visited four hospitals over four months. I've been very fortunate to have had a loving husband, first class facilities and specialists [thanks to the NHS] and you lot grin to keep my pecker up. After a trip to mind our lovely wee man, we shall get the verdict. Whatever needs doing, will be done, and my GN friends will, I'm sure, be there to make me smile. thanks

harrigran Thu 26-Jan-12 14:53:47

Today I have been loading a skip with 30 years of accumulated "stuff" of my dads. The bungalow is empty except for 3 cabinets awaiting collection by a charity (thanks Annobel), and just needs to be mopped out.
It has been a nightmare and now it's OVER! grin

Carol Thu 26-Jan-12 16:45:46

supernana life can be tough and thank goodness you are surrounded by the right kind of love and support. I hope this time next year you will be struggling to remember these worries. My sister has had 8 months of worry, a couple of operations and several months of convalescence and recovery, and last weekend I watched her joining in a 21st party, taking lots of photos and really enjoying herself. She's got better! I wish the same for you thanks

Libradi Thu 26-Jan-12 17:05:11

Glad that's over for you supernana thanks

I think it deserves it after all you've both gone through smile. Are you going to see your little Grandson soon?

nanapug Thu 26-Jan-12 17:21:47

Today I have had some good luck smile. I was taken to Bluewater by my DH to purchase my birthday presents!! We need a new TV for the lounge so I decided that would be a good gift!! We found one in John Lewis that was reduced by £150 because it had been purchased and returned. There was nothing wrong with it except there was no box. It still had a five year guarantee so what's the problem we said. I am delighted. Also I had been yearning after some artificial flowers in a vase that were £50. No way could I justify that even though I reeeeally wanted them. Lo and behold, when I walked past them they were reduced to £25. Still expensive but we felt we could justify it. That's my birthday sorted!!
