I am a 61 year old nanna. According to google I am a 35 year old male, just because of some of the adverts or sites I have visited, mostly to do with computers and games. I am affronted that google collects this information and thinks it is being helpful. I have opted out, it is easy. If you go into google and type ads/prefernces, scroll down a page you will see what demographic google thinks you are. A bit further down it gives you the option to opt out. If you are happy to be pigeon-holed, just stay in!

As far as they are concerned I am Age: 45-54 Gender: Female. Around my age I guess of 59 (just).

Better opt out I think, but what have I been looking at for me to appear as male.
