I really had to psych myself up to do the poo kit - it's a bit gross isn't it? However, DD said surely it was worth being grossed out for peace of mind or an early diagnosis - sensible as ever and I did it. I was so happy a few weeks later to get a negative result. I have a friend, same age as me, who refuses to do any screening whatsoever. It's up to her but how silly. As for what I like as I'm older [not middle aged and not elderly but m'elderly as my DD says] there are quite a few things. Mainly being able to do daft things with my DGD like splashing in puddles with her and not care what other people think. In fact that is one of the best things not caring what other people think. I haven't gone beige, never will, I'm known for my colourful socks, I still colour my hair, I still enjoy fashion but can't afford and wouldn't be a slave to it. Having time to do things is a huge plus. I work 2 days a week and the rest is mine - being near to the beaches and the New Forest means loads of lovely walks. No dogs now - after my last Lab died at 14 years old about 6 years ago I cannot go through that grief again. Also now I have GC haven't the time.
