What things have you never had or done?

Riden a horse

Attended a christian service

But no desire to do either

There seems so many thing 'to do' and running out of time to do them!

Never had a navel piercing and now I can't find it even if I wanted it pierced.

fieldwake how have you managed to avoid churches! Not even a wedding or a funeral?
I always fancied learning to crochet. i have just found a suitable how to book, and produced my first bit of lacy looking crochet (about 10cm square) it is not very glamorous but i am feeling very proud of myself.

Jess, me too. I am a good knitter but haven't mastered crochet. The family gave me a Crochet for Dummies book for Christmas.

Never made a bucket list and never intend to.

Never had, or ridden, a bike, apart from trikes as a child.
Never had German measles or chickenpox.

No JessM I was in catering and Saturday was the busiest day, most got married on saturdays in the past, and I never had a Sunday off.

I've never managed to get my head under water (apart from unintentionally)
Never skiied
Never served on a jury
Never been divorced
Never been on a motor bike-(Dad wouldn't allow me and I reckon he's still watching from up there!
Never taken illegal drugs
Never sky dived
Never been in a pub on my own -maybe have to try
Never been in the attic - just as well it was emptied last summer
Never understood algebra, or geometry or anything else apart from adding up

This thread has boosted my confidence no end. I think I'm a boring old f**t but I've done lots of things that you netters haven't, and you all seem so very confident and outgoing.

Nanachrissie. I often think I am a boring old f**t too but when I listed my doings and not doings in my head, I realised that I am not - lots of things I have done but could never mention in public . I went to a convent boarding school and rebelled big time once I realised there was more to life and life was too short to conform.

Never jumped out of a plane (would NOT like to!)
Never had a pet as a child
Never sat on a jury
Never jumped, or dived, into a swimming pool (I can swim, I just use the steps to get in!)

Never watched BGT, X Factor, The Voice, Downton Abbey or an episode of any tv soap,

Never been skiing, surfing or played cricket

Never owned, or worn a little black dress (black is a colour that makes me look as if I am attending my own funeral).

I've never riden a horse and I wish I had. I still have dreams of riding along the beach in the surf but alas, my balance is dodgy so I wouldn't risk it. A colleague in the US once said that if we go over to visit his home ever then he'd get me on a horse - a Shetland pony so that I could put my feet down both sides and get my balance! Nice thought but that was a long time ago.

There's lots of other hings I've not done - but then I've not wanted to do them. There's lots of thing I have done though, some of which have been good, some not so good and some pretty awful, but I've no real regrets.

I've never smoked, taken drugs (despite being a teenager during the Swinging Sixties!), been really drunk or had sex with anyone other than my husband. I think I have always been rather timid when it comes to taking risks, rather than taking the moral high ground, as I tended to envy those girls who lived life dangerously. However, I am perfectly happy with my "safe" lifestyle, though I am still waiting to go up in a hot air balloon/learn to play the piano/hang glide and conquer my fear of going under water enough to enjoy snorkelling. I have tried overland ski-ing in Sweden, when our hosts took us out into the snow with no instruction at all. My strength was sliding backwards without falling over! I am also still able to do all the rides at Disney World, and I learned to sail in the Greek Islands. During this time, I had the most memorable sail when my instructor took me out in high winds in a high-speed racing dinghy - both scary and exhilirating at the same time. I have also ridden horses in the past, though not on the beach.

Never had a son (2 daughters & 2 step-daughters) but now have 2 grandsons as well as 4 grandaughters.
Never been scuba diving but would love to give it a try.
Never been on an Alaskan Cruise - asked my DH - didn't fancy it and passed away before I had time to work on him. Sadly I now cannot afford to go... never mind I can still dream.

Never had my ears (or any part of my body) pierced
Never been up in a hot air balloon ( but I am working on that so fingers crossed)

Never eaten or been in a McDonalds - neither have my children -at least when they lived with me. Eat other hamburgers though. I just can't stand the smell in McD. I did once open a door to a branch and withdrew immediately!!

Never seen whales despite going out on a whale-watching trip, never seen a manatee despite going out in the Everglades to look for them, still not heard a nightingale and I would love to.

Never tasted black pudding, despite the best efforts of fans who tell me it is delicious - no thanks!

Never watched TOWIE, The Voice, Strictly Come Dancing, Dr Who, Downton Abbey.

No piercing or tattoos.

Never been to the top of Blackpool Tower. Eiffel Tower, Empire State Building - don't like heights.

Never been down a water slide or on a big roller coaster.

Never been to Scotland even though I love the look of the place and the architecture. I have a brother who has lived there for decades and his children, grown up now, have Scottish accents ( we are from Yorkshire) But I live in Australia, so no chance now....
